What Are Credits?

In our map software, credits are used as a way to manage and limit the number of exports you can make within certain subscription plans. Each time you create a project and want to export a layer for laser engraving or cutting, it consumes 1 credit. This ensures that users are managing their exports efficiently based on their chosen subscription tier.

How Credits Work

When you create a project in our map software, you have the option to organize your data into layers. Each layer can contain multiple features such as lines, points, and polygons. To export these layers for processes like laser engraving or cutting, you may need to adjust specific tracing strategies or choose particular file formats.

  • Each layer you export counts as 1 credit, regardless of the tracing strategy or file format you select.
  • If you have multiple layers in a project, you will need the appropriate number of credits to export each layer.

Examples

  1. Single Layer Export:

  • You create a project with one layer.

  • You decide to export it for laser cutting, choosing a vector format (like PNG).

  • This export consumes 1 credit, since you're exporting just one layer.

  1. Multiple Layer Export:

  • You create a project with three layers (for example, one for the outline, one for detailed features, and another for engraving instructions).

  • You want to export all three layers for laser engraving.

  • This will consume 3 credits, as each layer is considered a separate export.

  1. Layer with Multiple Features:

  • You create a project with one layer that has several different features (e.g., different types of lines, points, or polygons).

  • Even though the layer has multiple features, it still counts as 1 credit because it's a single layer.

  • You export this layer in a specific format (e.g., SVG for laser cutting).

  • This still only consumes 1 credit, regardless of the number of features within the layer.

  1. Multiple Formats per Layer:

  • You have a project with two layers: one for the base outline and one for engraving details.

  • You decide to export the outline layer in both PNG and SVG formats.

  • 2 credits are used, as you’re exporting two layers in different formats.

How to Track Your Credits

Credits Balance

You can check your current credit balance and usage at the top right by your profile picture in the dashboard. In this example we have an unlimited plan, which is why you see a figure 8 to represent unlimited credits for this plan type. If you are running low on credits, please consider upgrading your subscription plan for more exports.
